Brocade 300 Series: BR-320-0008, BR-340-0008, and BR-360-0008
(Pricing on the Brocade 300 series is trending down, so please use the form at the end of the page for our most current individual and bulk pricing.)
What is it?
The Brocade 300 series is pretty affordable now (and getting cheaper at this time). It is a flexible base for entry-level SANs, and an edge switch for core-to-edge SAN environments.
They deliver up to 24 ports of 8 Gbit/sec performance in an energy-efficient, easily mountable 1U rack form factor.
The Brocade BR-320-0008, BR-340-0008, and BR-360-0008 switches simplify config and management with easy tools such as the Brocade EZSwitchSetup wizard (which is Microsoft Simple SAN-compatible).
These switches scale from single-switch fabrics to full-fabric enterprise capabilities with Ports On Demand scalability from 8 to 16 or 24 ports in 8-port increments.
They also offer dual functionality as either a full-fabric SAN switch or as an NPIV-enabled Brocade Access Gateway that enhances fabric scalability and simplifies management.
We also like that they somewhat future proof investments by allowing you to use 4 Gbit/sec SFPs today and upgrade to 8 Gbit/sec SFPs when required.
