Just about anyone with an internet connection can buy enterprise level computer hardware, post it online and try to sell it at a profit. Ebay proved that many years ago.
However, what we do as a Channel Navigation Specialist (CNS) is much different than simply posting hardware online and reselling at a profit – which is basically what being a product broker is. The staff at Maximum Midrange is highly experienced and have many years of combined industry experience sourcing hardware for our end user client base that comes direct from the manufacturer and is shipped directly to the client.
Be sure to read our page on the Maximum Midrange website that explains the concept of CNS in more detail, but here is a typical example:
A new project has come up within your organization and you need to upgrade your 9133-55A by adding an additional 8Gb of RAM. So, you find the original purchase paperwork on the server and call the software company that you bought it from. $2,800 is the quoted price for an 8Gb RAM kit. The software company then calls the Value Added Reseller (VAR), who calls another reseller, who calls the distributor, who then calls the manufacturer or us. You can count on a price and/or margin markup each step of the way. You can simplify and expedite the process as well as save money by calling Maximum Midrange where we would have the RAM kit in stock for only $800. There is a good chance that either way you order the RAM kit, through the original software company or through Maximum Midrange, the exact same kit would arrive at your location via FedEx.
Whether or not you go through your software company or through Maximum Midrange just depends on who you want to order from, how much extra you are willing to spend and how soon you need the product.
