The 8406-71Y BladeCenter PS701 is a single-wide blade server with features that include an eight-core 3.0GHz POWER7 processor with 16 VLP DDR3 DIMMs and a disk drive bay for one optional 300 or 600GB serial attached SCSI, 2.5-inch small form-factor hard disk drive. Total PS701 system memory is 128GB.
When the 8358 feature is added to the PS701, the 8406-71Y system becomes a double-wide BladeCenter PS702 symmetric multiprocessing server.
